Shipwreck At Le Bouchon: Hole In The Hull – A US Expert Expected

Following an inspection by Swire Salvage Team diving specialists last week, a hole of about 1.50 meters was identified in the hull of the vessel MV Benita. This was caused by rocks in the vicinity of reefs, and even some parts of the ship have been flooded. Thus, an American expert is expected tomorrow in Mauritius to repair the crack.

Moreover, the Voice Data Recorder that is the black box will be decoded in South Africa to provide details that can redirect the investigation if necessary on the circumstances of the sinking of the bulk carrier.
