Car Theft: Mohammad Shezad Dookee Actively Sought By Police

The efforts of the sleuths of the CID of Plaine Magnien have not been in vain so far: a white Toyota with registration number 740 ZX 08 that was stolen by a notorious repeat offender, Mohammad Shezad Dookee was found at the latter’s sister in Pailles on Tuesday, July 5. It was found more than a month after the robbery was committed in June 3. Moreover, the stolen car was used to commit several robberies across the country.

By misfortune and to foil the police plans, the recidivist has changed on several occasions the license plate to induce everyone by mistake. Thus, he refueled the car at several service stations without payment.

The inspector Bhoojawon assisted by four sleuths of the CID of Plaine Magnien conducted searches across the country including Grand Bay and Pereybere but the stolen car was found in Pailles in the yard of the recidivist’s sister. The car keys were also in her possession. So she colluded with her brother who was actively sought by the police.

Sent into court after her arrest, she was detained in Vacoas police cell until Monday July 11 when she is scheduled to appear in court.
