The investigation into the murder of Anwar Mohammad Nandoo whose body was found in the evening of Monday, July 11 in Eau Coulee has brought new lights. Saminaden Vyapooree aka Jessen who initially denied to be involved in the crime confessed his crime on Sunday, July 17.
Saminaden Vyapooree, a resident of Castel aged 45 was arrested by the officers of the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) on Sunday. The man was arrested last Thursday by detectives of the MCIT and he eventually confessed to killing Mohammad Anwar Nandoo. He said he acted on the instructions of the wife of the victim. “L’épouse d’Anwar, avec qui j’entretiens une liaison extraconjugale, a voulu se débarrasser de son époux. His new story in which he admitted the crime and denounced his accomplice was recorded. His accomplice has not been arrested yet.
The suspect made these revelations on Sunday during a long interrogation after receiving his discharge from the hospital. On leaving the health institution, he was taken to the office of the MCIT for interrogation. The day before, he was admitted to a hospital in Moka because he said he had difficulty seeing clearly. He appeared before the magistrate in Curepipe last Friday and was charged with murder. At first he denied assaulting the victim.
The wife of Anwar Nandoo will face allegations of Saminaden Vyapooree. In a first statement, she told investigators from the MCIT that she is separated from her husband for more than ten years but they have been in touch always. According to her, Anwar came to her house in Castel because she invited him for dinner. She said that her husband returned to his house around 1 AM on Monday in Eau Coulee.
