An amateur photographer ensured to capture this stunning and breathtaking picture of the Empire State Building, as it was struck by lightning during Monday’s freak storm.
Lawyer Steve Buffone, from his 50th-floor office at the MetLife Building, took around 2,277 images during the storm. Two of those pictures — taken during a 10-minute-long photo burst, from his iPhone — captured the lightning strike.
“The fact the shutter speed was fast enough, I was happily surprised,” Buffone said Tuesday. “I was pretty damn lucky.”
