Julien Latchimy’s body was repatriated to Reunion Island on Friday. A third autopsy will be performed this week. In light of the conclusions of the autopsy, the deceased’s family will decide whether or not to take legal action against the Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital found in Rose-Belle. Me Saïd Larifou who represents Julien Latchimy indicated that they will go forward with this case.
In the process, the lawyer suggests that the family of the religious had to resort to the generosity of several people to gather the sum of Rs 180,000 required by the Mauritian authorities to repatriate the body. The amount was the cost of the hospital asked prior to the body being repatriated to Reunion Island.
