A student of Standard IV filed a complaint against his teacher whom he accuses of hitting him in the face and head because he was chatting with his friend in class. The child does not want to follow this class anymore.
A schoolboy in Standard IV aged nine does not want to follow the oriental language classes. He told the police that his teacher is always violent towards him. “Mon enseignant m’a violemment agressé au visage et m’a donné un coup de poing à la tête,” he said in his complaint made on Wednesday at Triolet police station.
Farhan (name changed) is from a village in the North.
The child went home with the bloated face. He related his misadventure to his father who took him to the police station. “Je parlais à mon camarade, durant la lecture, quand le prof m’a violenté,” said the child to the police. He was then taken to the SSRN hospital in Pamplemousses for care.
His father, 36, does not hide his anger.
The Ministry of Education states that an investigation has been opened. The teacher will soon be questioned. The investigation is supervised by the inspector Jummiah and ASP Shady.
