Cite La Cure: Karina Living In Fear After A Group Of Individuals Assaulted Her

47 year old Karima is left with a black eye and now fears for her safety. The mother of two children was beaten by a group of individuals at her home in Cité La Cure on 18 August. She was attacked with a vase by assailants, including a woman. According to the victim, they want her out of her house.

Elle m’a dit qu’elle allait me régler mon compte,” said Karima.
Once at home, the forties went out with her son to go to the store. Upon returning home, she was surprised by a man in her house. “Il m’a dit de déguerpir,” she continues. Karima decided to go to the police station but when she arrived at her home, she was beaten by the woman who threatened her.

With a sore face, Karima went to Dr. AG Jeetoo Hospital in Port-Louis to receive care. On Saturday August 20 she went to Abercrombie police station to record a statement in which she says Rs 1,000 was stolen from her purse at the time of aggression. Since then Karima said to be living in fear especially after receiving threats.
