While close relatives of Jacques Bathilde were preparing for the funeral of the former police officer to be held this Sunday August 28th, investigators took one of his neighbors for questioning. Officers of the Camp Levieux Criminal Investigation Division showed up very early this morning at the man’s place in Mont-Roches, says Judex Bathilde, the brother of the victim.
However, the police had to break the door because the suspect refused to open it. For the police, this man can help shed light on how the safe of the former police officer could have been washed away. In fact, the latter completed the installation of the Vault: he should be able to explain how to remove it.
Moreover, the funeral of Jacques Bathilde, 61, took place this morning. After the ceremony at the Church of Notre Dame in Mont Roches, incineration should take place in the crematorium of Palma, Quatre-Bornes.
His relatives and former colleagues paid their last respects at his residence in Mont-Roches. Among the crowd was a large number of police officers. Many describe him as a friendly man.
