There was panic among the Bachoo family in Quatre-Bornes. On Monday afternoon September 5, two motorcyclists swung two cocktails molotov in their backyard. The fire damaged a taxi owned by Kevin. An old quarrel between the driver and the people of the locality is the origin of this drama. The Central Investigation Division (CID) of Quatre-Bornes has made an arrest on Tuesday, September 6th.
“Les enfants jouaient non loin, heureusement qu’ils n’ont pas été touchés. Cela aurait pu être grave,” says Ashley. On Monday, the family was about to go to a wedding. However, shortly after noon, they were alerted by a thick black smoke.
“J’étais à l’étage quand j’ai vu une motocyclette s’arrêter en face de la maison. Deux hommes ont balancé des cocktails Molotov dans ma cour. Cela a mis le feu à l’arrière de ma voiture,” says Kevin.
Wasting no time, the son of Kevin and his brother Ashley launched in the pursuit of the two men. But they could not catch them. “Une épaisse fumée noire a envahi la cour et la maison. Nous avons dû éteindre le feu,” says the mother of Kevin. They were able to isolate the fire and several members of the Bachoo family went to the hospital to receive treatment.
Quatre-Bornes police and elements of the Scene of Crime Office came on site. They recovered two bottles crushed in the yard of Bachoo family. The case was transferred to the CID. A person identified by Kevin was arrested. According to Kevin, the culprits belong to a neighborhood family that continues to bother him. “Ils me cherchent noise à tout bout de champ, alors que je ne leur ai rien fait,” he said. A second suspect is actively being sought.
