A serious accident occurred in Souillac on Tuesday September 13 around 8 PM. A Mazda 3 car collided with a semi-low floor bus of the National Transport Company (NTC). A man and a woman who were in the car were seriously injured, while the driver and four passengers of the bus were slightly injured. They were transported to the hospital in Souillac then transferred to the Jawaharlal Nehru hospital in Rose-Belle.
Rakesh Kumar Ramessur, the recipient of the CNT, made a statement to the police station of Souillac. He explained that the accident occurred when the bus was heading to Souillac and the car coming in the opposite direction. “Kan inn ariv pon Souillac, nou inn trouv Mazda- la vinn a enn vites a peu pré 100 km/h,” he said. He said the driver of the car lost control of his vehicle and suddenly changed lane to end up in front of the bus. The police are still waiting for the story of the CNT driver who is at the hospital.
