Rivière Tabac: Dozens Of Dead Fish Discovered

It is a dark and putrid water that now flows to the rivière Tabac in L’Escalier. Local residents alerted authorities after dozens of dead fish and eels have been found. Scientists from the environment laboratory and the Environment police have visited the site on Wednesday 21 September.

The water is polluted since the month of July. Rivière Tabac transformed gradually into a real dump of dead fishes. Polluted water were also poured into the sea near Le Souffleur.
