Three people were violently attacked on Saturday night September 24 by a group of people in Surinam following an argument in a restaurant.
According to reports, the three wounded visited a restaurant in Surinam and an argument broke out between them and a group of people. The three men then left the scene. En route, a vehicle stopped in front of their car. Several people who were aboard the vehicle got down and damaged the car’s windshield in which they were. They were then violently assaulted by the individuals.
Seriously injured, they were taken to the Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital in Rose-Belle where they were hospitalized. The three men are residents of Rivière-des-Anguilles. One of the injured, a 31 year old cook risk of having an amputation and his condition inspires serious concerns. The other two injured, a 35 year old police officer and a 39 year old prison guard are out of danger, but they are still hospitalized. The wounded have not yet given their version of events. Souillac police has opened an investigation.
