Two cases of robberies have been elucidated this Tuesday September 27 by sleuths of the Criminal Investigation Division of Quatre-Bornes. Arnaud Casquette, a former athlete, 38, was arrested after a stolen TV was seized at his home at Dansant Avenue in the city of flowers.
The suspect was brought before the court of Rose Hill in the morning under a provisional charge of theft. The police objected to his release on bail and he was kept in police cell.
Arnaud Casquette is known to police services and have been arrested for various drug offenses. It is based on certain information that the men of the police assistant superintendent Aniff Thug landed at his home. He was suspected of being the author of two cases of theft.
In the division of Western Boundary, he is suspected of stealing tools from a counselor of the Minister of Public Services. And he would have made off with a television in a restaurant at St-Jean road.
The 40-inch TV was recovered during the police raid. The detectives continue their investigation to clarify other cases of theft in this division, which the suspect could be the author.
