While air quality in Mauritius is often cited as a reference, a report by the World Health Organization (WHO) calls into doubt the information.
WHO published new data from air pollution in the world on Tuesday September 27. A list of 500 cities where the air contains more fine particles was unveiled.
Beau Bassin-Rose Hill appears in orange, that is to say in the middle of a scale of five colors. According to WHO, the air in Beau Bassin-Rose Hill contains 130 micrograms per cubic meter (ug / m3) of fine particles known as PM10.
WHO recommends a limit of 20 ug / m3.
