They had a narrow escape. Four members of a German family had the fear of their lives when the van carrying them to the Plaisance airport ended up all four wheels in the air on Wednesday morning October 19 at Gros-Bois, near the Mare-d’Albert village, in southern Mauritius. See photos:
The accident occurred around 6:15 AM, police said. The four Germans, head of the family, his wife, aged about fifty years, and their two children, 16 and 8, were in the “contract minibus” that overturned in unknown circumstances.
The head of the family escaped with minor injuries. He had to receive treatment at the Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital in Rose-Belle. Other family members, as well as the driver were not injured.
