Not one but two… The Mahébourg police is dealing with two complaints against Mahen Jhugroo. The Chief Whip and MP (Mahebourg Plaine Magnien) is criticized to have prevented the authorities to carry out a crack-down operation in the region.
The case dates back to Saturday morning October 22. A team led by assistant police superintendent Ghorah from the Southern Division had been mended in Mahébourg to remove street vendors. Unhappy, the street vendors have made a complaint to the member Mahen Jhugroo who visited the scene, demanding the hawkers to continue their work.
The ASP Ghorah reported the matter to the police of the region on Saturday October 22 and then again the next day. An investigation has been opened.
