It is an unprecedented scene that a Défi Quotidien journalist has witnessed. Indeed, as it can be seen in this picture, a motorist uses two telephones at the same time while driving.
This image comes from a video taken by a camera placed on the journalist’s helmet. The scene was filmed on the road between Grande-Rivière-Nord-Ouest and Pailles, in the direction of Pailles, on Friday afternoon November 4.
The motorist was surprised by a phone to the ear and the second being used by hand at eye level. He was obviously a busy employee or entrepreneur driving a company car bearing his company logo.
According to the French association for road safety, the use of a cell phone by a driver multiplies by three times the risks of having an accident. This risk is multiplied by 23 when using a telephone to type a message while driving. This man combined these two risk factors.
