Nice snap of the drug brigade this Friday in Cité Ste-Claire, Goodlands. Four suspects were arrested and 175 doses of synthetic drug were seized; estimated at a value of Rs 55,500.
Police made an operation in Cité Ste-Claire yesterday afternoon. After getting information on drug trafficking in this area, the DCP Choolun Bhojoo, head of the anti-drug brigade, mounted operations to put drug traffickers out of harm’s way. An important squad has been deployed for a massive intervention.
Reinforcements were requested: commandos, the Helicopter Squadron, members of the Special Supporting Unit (SSU), Special Mobile Force (SMF). The boss of the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (Adsu), DCP Choolun Bhojoo, made the trip too. A crowd was gathered in the village.
No question of waiting: the bloodhounds decide to go on the offensive. Four suspects are arrested with drugs in the streets of the village. There are: the homeless Ruddy Clive Gujadhur, 24, Jacques Didier Domingue Pierre Louis, 26, Mimi Mathieu A., 17, and Pierre Gino Natalie Sitamal, 34.
25 doses of synthetic drug were found on Ruddy Clive Gujadhur, 32 doses and a sum of Rs 1,400 were found on Jacques Didier Domingue Pierre-Louis, 27 doses on Mimi Mathieu A. and 91 doses of synthetic drug, one gram of this drug and Rs 1,950 were seized on Pierre Gino Natalie Sitamal. The teams of the Adsu raided the house of the suspects without finding anything there. A total of 175 doses of synthetic drugs were seized.
The operation ended around 7:00 PM. The suspects were interrogated in the ADSU premises. They will appear before the Lease and Remand Court this Saturday November 19.
