Theft At Former ACP Vuddamallay: The Suspects “Nou ti sou sa zour-la”

A couple was arrested by police officers from the Central Intelligence Unit (FIU) after they stole jewelry and alcoholic beverages from former ACP Pregassen Vuddamallay, former head of the Central Criminal Investigation Department Police Headquarters in Vacoas on Sunday November 20. The loot is estimated at Rs 100,000. The couple confessed.

The theft was reported on Sunday November 20. It was the son of the victim who lodged a complaint to the police of Vacoas. In less than three hours, the FIU bloodhounds of the Central Division, under the supervision of Sergeant Gopychand, arrested a couple: Pascal Vibrot, 35, and his wife Mirella Vilbrot, 33, two residents of Résidences Mangalkhan.

They were handed over to the Criminal Investigation Division of Vacoas where they were questioned at length. The couple finally cracked: “We stole because we were drunk. Nou pa ti kone ki nou pe fer.” After their interrogation, the two suspects were detained.

On Monday, Pascal Vibrot and his wife Mirella will appear before the court of Curepipe where they are likely to be charged under a temporary charge of burglary. The investigation is under the supervision of SP Mardaymootoo and ACP Rassen.
